Summer is almost over giving place for Autumn that is
s almost around the  corner . Last weekend was a lovely one and I sure did take advantage of it. The sun. The late summer flowers. The amount of people walking around. All together was just perfect for a walk that I just enjoyed so much.  September weather has been very much Fall weather. |Very cold . No sun. We can see the leaves wanting to change colours. Shyly showing their yellows, oranges and browns.  Still perfect for a walk around  the neighbourhood. Here are some photos of both weekends walks.

Portugal may have a  present poor Government   - with no vision - and there for with poor no how to develop a better way of life for the citizens of this Iberica Peninsula country. But one thing is for sure, Portuguese's are reach in creating and developing some of the most beautiful nature spaces in the world..
The well-known American magazine Travel + Leisure has just unveiled the winners of the T + L Design Awards 2014. The winner in the category Best Resort was the Pedras Salgadas spa & nature park, a resort located in northern Portugal within 580 meters of altitude, in the Park of Pedras Salgadas, belonging to the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, between Vila Real and Chaves.
Designed by architect Luís Rebelo de Andrade and built by Modular System, the accommodation consists of modern modular homes, Tree Houses and Eco Houses, adapted to the terrain morphology and designed to coexist in close harmony with the natural beauty of the Park.
This makes me very happy and proud!

Sunday morning walk

Sunday, May 26, 2013

Hope you enjoyed today's beautiful weather. Today's walk was only 30 minutes. Short and sweet. My fybromialgia pain and my thyroid issue made me very exhausted after only 30 minutes walking (as usual).
Took some photos of pansies (love them) that I share with all of you.

Walking Solo on Victoria Day!

I love it when people leave the city. Less traffic. More seats at the outside door cafes. Less pollution. Less noise. Today (Victoria Day), was a perfect morning for a walk around the city. So I walked solo from Heath Street, south on Yonge to Dupond and then north on Avenue Road. On the way I did some window shopping. Stopped for a coffee (and rest) and took some photos.

Today, May 5th was our first walk of 2013. Our theme today was "sounds". At the end of the walk we had a list of many sounds we listen during our walk; children noises, soccer players shouts, airplane, streetcar, cars, dogs, motorcycle, birds, ambulances, people talking. Was a glorious day. Beautiful weather. I want to thank Sonia and Susan for showing up. They are not Portuguese speaking but want to learn some Portuguese because they are going to Portugal this summer. We had fun. The conversation during the walk was almost a walking Portuguese class. We started our walk at around 11:30am to about 12:15pm. We then stopped to get some flowers and herbs.
I will try to start the next walk at 10am next time. This way we will have time to stop for coffee/tea after the walk.
Have a great week. Be happy. Be safe.
